Dehumidified Air Dryers Overview
Colortronic dryers achieve excellent continuous drying performance independent of atmostpheric conditions through the use of dehumidified air.
Continuous drying is achieved with multiple cells - one drying cell or a group of cells is used in the drying cycle while the other regenerates and waits its turn.
Colortronic's dehumidified air dryers provide solutions for numerous applications. For example, if several drying hoppers are in use, an automatic throttle valve is incorporated to disperse air equally to all the drying hoppers. Colortronic dryers can also be fitted with return air coolers, and heat exchangers if required.
Together with safety switches to protect against over heating, stainless steel heating elements and rugged design, Colortonic dehumidifed driers guarantee a problem-free, long-term drying solution.
Small dryer or central system?
Depending on the process, small dryers are used mainly for individual process machines. The material can be dried beside or on the process machine.
With a central drying systems, all processing machines are supplied with dried material. The main materials are permanently assigned to certain drying hoppers and, in connection with a central conveying system for example, can be provided to any designated machine. If required this material can be conveyed with dehumidified air.
Drying Hoppers
Colortronic insulated drying hoppers ensure optimal drying due to consistent air flow and dwell times.
Available in standard sizes, and made from anti-corrosive stainless steel, these hoppers also include 'easy clean' features. The ability to use just one drying hopper contributes considerably towards energy savings and additional automation.
