Application
Permanent magnetic grid magnets can be supplies in round, rectangular and square versions and are therefore universally useable (e.g. in pipelines, hoppers or chutes).
Ferrous particles are attracted and secured from the bulk material as it passes the system.
The grids are produced in a range of standard sizes, but also every special dimension
necessary to suit the customers requirements can be delivered. S+S provides a life-time magnetic performance on the applied magnetic material if used under normal
circumstances. The dimension and the design of the system is arrange that bridging' is almost impossible.
The use of 316 grade Stainless Steel with polished surface treatment permits the installation in food and pharmaceutical industries.
Performance characteristics
Grid Magnet GMF (Ferrite-Version):
Similar to the GMN version also the MF magnets guarantee a high resistance
against wear and corrosion as well as a high mechanical stability by the use of the 316 grade Stainless Steel. The magnetic flux of 2500 gauss (on the rod surface)
allows the separation of small ferrous particles ( ≥1mm). Ferrite versions are suitable for operation temperatures up to 220°C.
Grid Magnet GMN (Rare Earth-Version):
For application that require a higher magnetic field strength S+S can supply units incorporating rare earth magnetic material. These types of grids allow
attraction of
even the finest magnetic contaminants (≥10µm). Three different types of neodymium magnets with a surface strength
from 7000 up to 11000 gauss can be ordered.
All types of rare earth grid magnets can be supplied optionally with removable magnets to allow quick and easy cleaning (EASY CLEAN Version).
The maximum operation temperature should not exceed 90°C.
